I have been trying to insert a small image in with the text of the forum header/description.

It doesn't seem to be working using the normal img code but I know I have done it in the past.

At present the image I am trying to insert is an avatar which is working in the members profile and working so I know the code is good.

Any help or ideas appreciated.

Q

The fields of the Forums control panel don't have BBCode support. Use HTML there.

Thanks. Knew it was something simple but couldnt remember what. Thinking about it, that should have been obvious as I use <br> for new line.... duh.....

Resolved

I tried using <img src="Talking.jpg" alt="Chew The Fat">
And it didn't work. Just showed the html code.

1. In what template did you insert that code?
2. Is Talking.jpg in the root directory of your board?

For v1.10, in file templates/header.php go to/find the last line of what I have pasted and add that line with the directory and file name of your image

Code:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html lang="<?= $lang['iso639'] ?>" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <!-- <?= $versionlong ?> --> <!-- Build: <?= $versionbuild ?> --> <!-- <?= $versioncompany ?> --> <head> <?= $canonical_link ?> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=<?= $lang['charset'] ?>" /> <meta name="viewport" content="width=500, initial-scale=1" /> <title><?= $threadSubject ?><?= $SETTINGS['bbname'] ?> - <?= $versionlong ?></title> <?= $css ?> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?= $full_url ?>js/header.js?v=2"></script> </head> <body text="<?= $THEME['text'] ?>"> <?= $bbcodescript ?> <a name="top"></a> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" td bgcolor="#2ea206" width="<?= $THEME['tablewidth'] ?>" align="center"> <tr> <td bgcolor="#2ea206'"> <table border="2" td bgcolor="#2ea206" cellspacing="<?= $THEME['borderwidth'] ?>" cellpadding="6" width="100%"> <tr>" <td width="74%" bgcolor="#dedede"> <table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td valign="top" rowspan="2"><image src=/images/header.jpg></td>
