Google Captcha for Registrations

I've disabled the old secret cookie hack because I felt the user experience was not optimal.

Almost immediately, we are seeing multiple automated registrations every day. The minimum posts and new user moderation hacks prevent them from spamming, but I still want to block the bots.

Seems natural to require new users to complete a Google-hosted captcha these days. It will be my next little project here.

Here's the hack.

We are using it now on this site.

Hey,

How do I install this on a shared web host, seeing as it appears to use some sort of SSL certificate in order to work?

Thanks for any help in advance.

The certificate file does not need any changes. Just provide the full path to the file as described in the instructions.
