[Inactive] I'm not sure how to fix this...?
Full Board URL: http://sempernoxnoctis.net
XMB Version: 1.9.11
I tried posting earleir but it was the wrong forum...
I need to install patch #13 to my board, but I don't know how?
Just to be sure, this will fix the fact everytime someone tries to post a long post, it will show up? most of the time everything just disappears.
I jsut moved servers and they have a more... secure...? database set up.
Some help would eb greatly appreciated.

Okay, so I managed to install the patch... but I still have the problem?
If I try to quick reply a long post it tells me I need a subject
The subject doesn't seem to matter, because reply or new thread the entire post disappears instead of posting.
Is there anyone who can help, please?

Was this issue there before you upgraded your forum from "XMB 1.9.11 #12" towards "XMB 1.9.11 #13" ?
If not, and the error is new: upload the file and template backups you made before attempting the upgrade. And try again.
If the error is an older error, please tell us what happened.. what has led to this behavior. Installed a hack, etc?

Yes it was.
It came to as I moved servers. Apparently it has a more secure MySQL server...?
I didn't install -anything- I infact thought I had installed a fresh version wrong and uplaoded my old database. It simply will not allow long posts.
If you put one in the quick reply it prompts for a title then deletes the post and a new thread simply has none of the body.

Sounds odd that this has something to do with SQL security ...
Would you have a test account? Seeing how registration is closed.

I noticed when you attempt to post on your site, there is only one 'icon' on the form. This leads me to think that you have installed mods/hacks that
have caused the issue. First thing to do would be to re-upload a clean post_newthread template. If problem persists, upload clean post.php file and
re-test.

Icon?
If you're speaking of the post icons, I deleted them all.

Well, not sure what defines a large post for you but when I posted and replied it worked.

Well, long text posts work.
but now if you add HTML or coding it doesn't post.

Good luck with it. It helps if you define the issue at the outset.
