Hack - Getting Revive Ad Banner to Display in Thread
For those of you wanting to have Banner code to display banner cone in your thread - this is how I went about it on my board https://www.daveschultz.com/forum/
Two caveats:
1. I'm a retired businessman/drag racer, and only know enough to be dangerous. If one of you pros feel like I screwed up and did something dangerous -
tell me how/why and give a better way to go about it
2. The next time you upgrade, your hack will disappear. This is something better handled as a "Functionality tool" where the Admin has a block to
paste his ad code and radio buttons on location options to display it.
That said, I
1. in Administrative edited the template Viewthread
2. I inserted my banner code (Javascript) with proper formatting options just above the call for quick reply.
See the two screen prints for details

I got a little more bold - for me as a hacker
anyway, if you have banner code you want see towards the top, I modified the Index template as shown in the images. Same caveat as in first post. I
don't claim to be any kind of decent coder. Just know enough to screw things up.

And to get to the bottom of the home page, I edited the Index template

Kool, I'll get it done. The one I haven't figured out yet is getting at the top and bottom of the thread list for a particular forum, like I have on
the Home Page.
I tried various place in the Forumdisplay template, but not showing up.
