After running my forum for more than 3 years, suddenly I cannot delete spam members

You need to explain better your problem is too vague to know what is happening.

Explains your problem, detailed, what is the problem you have in delete member and what happens etc..

I'm experiencing the same issue, although what I found really strange is that member deletion used to work upon installation, but it stopped working a few weeks ago out of the blue.

When I view the list of Members under my admin panel, no matter if I check just one Member or more than one for deletion, the system does not delete the Members; in fact, when I view the list again in my admin panel, the ones I tried to delete are still there.
