greetings...

Hello,

i m a very old member of the xmb forum (since 2002 i think).
Unfortunately I see my username/posts are deleted, so i created new account.

I came here today, after a very long time, and saw that so many things have changed. I tried to check the news and I believe i got an idea of what happened with xmb.
But if there is any thread that could give me detailed info, let me know.

I love xmb, I have an xmb forum, fully customised in the past by Tularis, that know has more than 1.400.000 posts.

I m so sad to see xmb almost (or completely) dead.

I m in the webhosting industry since 2006.
If there is anything i can offer to the xmb project and community, let me know.

welcome back :)

a while back they had some server woes and looks like iEntry pretty much just dumped on the XMB community.

While XMB is holding on still by a slight thread, I think XMB still has a decent community base.

The biggest battle is keeping XMB alive with a new release, which has been an ongoing discussion as of late. Technically iEntry still owns XMB so its sorta hard to keep building on it and not worry about a lawsuit.

The current plan is to rebrand and start fresh, though an upgrade path is of course going to be made available :)

Hi there, thought I recognized the name when I approved your registration :)
After we moved to a new server/domain.. iEntry threatened with lawsuits if not almost all the posts were deleted. That's why an entire era of history is gone :(

At the moment, everyone you ever knew... You will not longer encounter here I'm afraid.
Tularis... Those were the times.

thank you for your posts.
I do now understand what happened here.
Its so sad that this great software with that potential, finally is almost dead.

I wish you all the best. I really hope you can reburn a rebranded-xmb.
I ll be around and visit the place by time to time, so as I learn all the news.
Again, in case me, my team or my company can be helpful to the new project, let me know.
We dont have a strong development team, since we mostly are a web hosting company, but I m sure that there will be situations that we could be of some help.

I'd love to have more help with the rebranding, honestly anything you can bring to the table will be of great help.

I do plan to get a website up soon that will offer as a place to collaborate and have a central place for information on this new project.

anyone that wants to help coding, planning, etc are welcomed to do so, the more community effort we have, the better this can be for everyone :)
