[Resolved] Inherited XMB forum

Full Board URL: http://www.brightonfans.com/bforum
XMB Version: Unknown

Hi, hoping someone here may be able to give me some pointers..

I've inherited the job of supporting of an old XMB forum. (http://www.brightonfans.com/bforum/) and have been asked if it can be updated?

How do I find which version it's running, and whether or not upgrading is a viable option?

TIA
Solfer

There should be some kind of version info in the header.php
Open it and search for the word "version" :)

The footer says 'copyright 2006' , so that will be some older version.

Upgrading will be possible.

Let us know which version it is please.

If you want more info on an upgrade;

I you want to upgrade from a version lower then v1.5 ...

But lets start with telling us what you have now :)

I'm willing to guess its either version 1.6 or 1.7 I'm just guessing based on the year in the footer

Hmm, doubt it... XMB 1.6 Magic Lantern ..... The first XMB version I ever laid my eyes on. That was far before 2006 :)

Ah, found it. Here is the exact piece of coding you need to look at in your header.php to identify your XMB version;
http://docs.xmbforum2.com/Webmasters/Version_Identification

Checking by the year, I'd say something between 1.9.3 and 1.9.6 - if you used the latest version to install.
