I'm fairly novice with CSS, and was getting frustrated with some of the long lists of new class names.
For the sake of pausing before things got out of control, I looked at the usage of block width values. I realized the variable --xmb-block-width is
only used in specific cases where the border widths should be subtracted from the block width, so it doesn't make sense to also list all of the
specific cases where we want the default width to be assigned.
I removed that extra list and now simply assign our default width to all of the xmb block styles, which then goes unused by default. We leave the
global default width at 100% and the specific cases are as already specified.
Note to self: The textarea on admin/sql.php needs to shrink for mobile screens.

Problems with textareas/input fields are probably related to hardcoded HTML widths/cols/rows. Estimating character counts based on the browser's
default font is probably not a good way to resize an element after all.
Adding a universal 'box-sizing: border-box;' to all elements and pseudo-elements was suggested by an AI to simplify mathematical
calculations, making it easier to convert tabular layouts to div ones. Not sure on the specifics, though - I guess try it.
The U2U messenger might be better served with a collapsible or scrollable header. Right now, the fixed-width button header screws up on small
viewports.
