Most of them look pretty bad when zoomed in, on mobile, or otherwise. Also GIF sucks as a format for this type of thing - we've had alpha
transparent PNGs in all major web browsers since 2006, before the release of XMB 1.9.8 SP2 even(!!)
Also due to them being static images they're a pain to customise and GFX design is not my thing. Having text labels or pregenerated CSS
icons/labels would make life a lot easier and streamline the theme making process :3
