Based on release notes for PHP 8.5, the XMB 1.10 and 1.9.12 branches are both compatible.
I've upgraded PHP on this site to v8.5.0 and enabled XMB debug mode to look for any unexpected notices or deprecations.

There was a breaking change in the GD library packaged with PHP 8.5. So officially, XMB 1.10.02 will be the minimum compatible version to make
thumbnails work properly.
