All,
Would it be possible to integrate custom ranks within the Forum permissions options? Right now, only checkboxes for (S)Admin, (S)Moderator, Member and
Guest are displayed, but I want to be able to make all new members see just one thread for posting and after posting there be able to see the rest.
Can this be done or is there already something like I requested?

I would like to know how to add a custom member rank in Forum Permissions aswell

Please explain why a member should be only allowed to see 1 thread as this doesn't make sense unless all the other threads are private boards.
Anyhow; The way I see this without making to much work is you would need to create a new users say like 'Beginner' and then in your forums categories
you can give that member specific rights. Each forum board has an option to allocate certain rights to users/members/mediators etc.
Then when your satisfied that user is worthy you could upgrade his account to Member or what ever other you like.
