Trader or feedback type hack/mod

gagf - 3-25-2012 at 12:31 PM

I Have a forum where members buy./sale/trade and would love a hack that would allow users to submit feedback . Kinda like the i-trader Vbulletin uses or smftrader that SMF uses.

Be able to leave positive or negative feedback

feedback shows a total number on users profile and when they post so others know their good to deal with

Anyone got any suggestions or ideas? Is it possible?

I would suggest looking at the Karma Hack (direct download link).

Although it is not tailored to your exact situation, it would help weed out bad apples who would receive negative karma for bad sales/trades.

Also someone from this forum with more experience may be able to tweak the karma hack for your needs, but to construct that type of hack from scratch would probably be a lot of work.

I'm sure more people will pop in with ideas/suggestions I would keep checking as it's the weekend.

Nice to meet you! Best of Luck!

i wonder if it is possible to change the wording , everywhere is says karma have it say "feedback" or "Trader Rating" i think i tried the karma out with smf before. in the situation i need it in it would be to easy to abuse it

Wording probablu isn't too hard to change but I could see abuse issues.

I have no familiarity with itrader nor smftrader ... I would have never thought of using a forum this way.

Having a forum with a buy/sell/trade section keeps users there. It also keeps them coming back, especially if the b/s/t/ section is relevant to the discussion forum section
