I remember there being a hack for this on older versions. Its where it displays like the top 5 or 10 newest posts on the index of the forum?

Hello relic,
I searched for a version for 1.9.11 but couldn't find anything. I did find THIS post where someone was looking for this also.
One work around would be to install the portal hack. That has the feed for a specific fid as well as latest posts and is quite customizable.
I will try to see if I can come up with something like pulling the code from the recent posts portal block and incorporating it to index. It would
probably be real easy for the more experienced members but as you can see they have their hands full trying to figure out the future of XMB.
