XMB Forum Software

Clear old XMB staff.

Adam - 1-27-2012 at 05:07 PM

I think it is about time that some of the inactive members of staff are demoted.

I see that some changes have taken place.

However, most of the moderators have not logged in for months / years. Personally, I think it looks bad when staff are inactive members.

Even some of the admins can go days / weeks without logging in, or replying to posts.

Has everyone now lost interest in XMB?

I demoted all of the inactive iEntry accounts except for admin and webpro. Also, there were some inactive accounts listed as XMB 2 contributors that are back to member status now.

Are there other concerns?

http://www.xmbforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=776652

is XMB split into two groups ?

miqrogroove - 3-4-2012 at 07:22 PM

Depends what "two groups" means? :) Two groups of forums, perhaps? The XMB staff no longer have access to that server, which is the main reason the staff aren't using it.

vamsee - 3-4-2012 at 07:55 PM

john briggs is on this site too.
he seems to have access to that server .

These 2 forums are confusing bcos my posts show '8' here and '289' there.
everyone who are using xmb have footer links to xmbforum.com only.

so hardly anyone knows about this xmbforum2, unless they happens to visit it in jan-feb

Well, the current staff could have full access like before minus yourself as you know why per iEntry's reason:(. Let's be honest, there are no two groups. One group and that is the folks here who simply tried to get the site back online and have issues with iEntry after the downtime and communications breakdown or lack there of and have chosen to not return to the official site for there own reasons. iEntry has it's own reasons as well. It's a two way street of confusion for the users. Needless to say, they will most likely in my opinion be coming after your domain name so I wouldn't get to comfortable with it.

BTW, I would like to state it for the record, that I support Robert and the staff here completely in whatever path they choose. I know that the Core XMB Code and development will be in good hands here without doubt.

The official site is to date without promise and I see nothing that changes that view on my part.

Well .... iEntry never wanted to have anything to do with XMB since Jay left. We have never been able to get their attention for anything. The server going down just brought nearly two years worth of problems getting anything out of them to a head .... good luck to them, I say. I support our departure in no uncertain terms. No looking back for me.

Trust me when I tell you, I know full well what the issues were with regard to iEntry and you guys. I knew sooner or later it was going to come to blows and most likely not for the better.
